Muzaffarpur is known as the "Land of Litchis". The business centers of Muzaffarpur are the Saraiyagunj and Kalyani. These places are thickly populated areas. The small shops over here sell goods and services in an excess amount. The settings are generally colorful and large crowds buzz around all the time. Motijheel is another major shopping area. A small regiment of Territorial Army is present at the Chakkar Maidan.
