When to visit
Bihar is nestled on the banks of Ganga, the holy river, to the east side of India, popular for its glorious past, religious places, historical monuments and Buddhist monasteries. The best time to visit Bihar are during the winter season, from October to March, as the climate is pleasant this time. Bihar weather is of a tropical weather having hot summers and cold winters. Though the summers tend to be unbearably hot, it is also the best time to visit the wildlife sanctuaries, parks and many such nature reserves to get a glimpse of wild animals. The months of June to September should be avoided as this is the monsoon season and a time of heavy rainfall and plenty of floods. Festivals are few here, and the months (October to March) when they are held, are the peak tourist months.
