These days a lot of tourists get robbed while entering the city from the airport at night. Hence it is not advisable to travel alone at night in a cab.

While traveling by local cabs and rickshaws ask for the tariff card and then pay accordingly as they try to cheat you by asking for as much as three time the actual fare. Also beware of pickpockets, touts and illegal foreign exchange dealers.
