Among the best places to visit in Candolim , a few must-see are :
Fort Aguada, that is a Portuguese fort that has been built in the 16th century.
This fort is above the cliff of Sinquerim. Those who visit this place can see the ruins of a bell, a clock, a lighthouse and a citadel. From the top of the fort, one can have a comprehensive view of the port, the rivers and the sea. Around this fort, there are many guest houses, villas and resorts. On the north side of this fort, there are two beaches – Candolim and Calangute.
The Candolim Church was constructed in the 15th century. This is dedicated to the Lady of Hope. This church has a fabulous stained glass work.
There is also a Chapel of St. Lawrence that is dedicated to the patron saint of sailors.
Other activities and things to do in Candolim are mostly available on the beach.
On the beach at Candolim, one can participate in a number of water sports like para sailing, scuba diving, wind surfing and water skiing.
It is also possible to experiment with fishing. A crocodile or dolphin spotting trips can be taken.
