The main attractions and the best places to visit in Chandigarh are :

Capitol Complex, that is one of Le Corbusier’s masterpieces. This complex consists of three epoch making magnum opus in the middle of which stands the massive metallic sculpture of The Open Hand which is also the official emblem of Chandigarh suggestive of the city’s philosophy, ‘open to give’and ’open to receive’.

Rose Garden is considered to be the biggest Rose Garden in Asia.

This Garden has way more than 17,000 plants. This garden named after India’s Former President, Zakir Hussain was put up in 1967.

Covering an area of approximately 27 acres, this Garden is absolutely a must see.

Rock Garden : containing innovative art created from urban and industrial waste, this Garden is a personification of creativity.

Nek Chand, the creator of this garden began his collection by collecting urban and industrial waste and natural materials.

Sukhna Lake is an artificial lake situated at the base of the Shivalik hills.

This lake was shaped in 1958. To safeguard its serenity, motor boats and traffic are barred from the top of the dam.

This lake was designed by Le Corbusier.

International Dolls museum : this museum has a fascinating collection of puppets and dolls from all over the world wrapping the diverse art of more than 25 countries.
