Tourist Guide Bade Bacheli
Bade Bacheli is one of the towns located in the Dantewada district in Chhattisgarh state of India. It is also known as a "nagar panchayat". The Dantewada district has its headquarters at Dantewada town. Dantewada District covers an area of about 10,238.99 square kilometres. The boundaries include the Malkangiri District on the east in Orrisa, Bastar District on north-east and the north, the Khammam District on the southwest and south of Andhra Pradesh. Indravati River is present on the eastern side.
The state has a population of around 719,065. The adivasis or tribal people constitute almost 66%25 of the total population. The four tehsils of the district are Bhopalpatnam, Konta, Dantewada, and Bijapur. Based on the 2001 census, Bade Bacheli has a population of 20,407. Of the total population, 53%25 are males and 47%25 females. The town has an average literacy rate of 65%25, as compared to the national average rate of 59.5%25. The interesting factor is that almost 60%25 of the males and 40%25 of the females are literate.
