The city of Bhilai is located in the central part of Chhattisgarh State which in turn lies in the eastern region of India. Bhilai city has a total area of about 119.6 square kilometers which is huge. Being located in the eastern region of India the weather in this city is perfect for tourists in winters and is a bit warm in summers. The minimum temperature recorded here is about 12 degrees Celsius in January and February during winter and the regular temperature in this region is around 21 to 35 degrees Celsius in the month of March till June in summers. As the city is located close to a huge water mass namely The Bay Of Bengal, rainfall is high in this city in the months of June to August. Even though the city is big in size, it comprises of beautiful landscapes. It is a developed city with most of the population employed. The population dwelling in the city of Bhilai is counted out to be around 5, 53,837 people according to the 2001 census. The population density is very high in this city.
