As per 2001 census, population of Dipka was 20182; out of which males constituted 53%25.
Literacy rate of Dipka was reported to be 73%25; i.e. much higher as compared to ‘national average of 59.5%25’. Literacy of male population was found to be more than that of females. In other words, female literacy was 67%25; whereas male literacy was 79%25. Around 17%25 of total population was found to be under 6 years of age.
It is a known fact that Chhattisgarh had been a part of Madhya Pradesh a few years back. It was only in October 2000 that this state came in to being. The region of ‘Dipka’ is full of forest vegetation. This area is sparsely populated.
The period between April and June would prove to be the best one to pay a visit. Extreme climate would be found at this place. Winters and summers, both are severe.
