Tourist Guide Gharghoda
Gharghoda is a town and a nagar panchayat situated in Raigarh district in Chattisgarh state. It is located at 22.17 degrees North latitude and 83.35 degree East Longitude. It has an average elevation of 258 meters, which is approximately 846 feet. This is a city, a town and also a village where most of the people reside and work for a living.
As per the 2001 census of India, Gharghoda had a population of 8103. Around 50 percent of the males constitute the population and 50 percent are females. The average literacy rate of the city is 65 percent which is higher than the national average of 59.5 percent. The male literacy is of 76 percent and the female literacy is 54 percent. Further, around 14 percent of the population in the city is under 6 years of age.
