Diu is a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life or its counterparts namely Goa and Daman. The beaches are virtually empty and well managed.
Nagoa and Ghogla are the best beaches to visit and there are basic water sports facilities provided here at reasonable rates.
One can also visit the fort and the St. Paul’s Church in Diu. The city has a Portuguese influence.
Hotel Kohinoor is one of the leading hotels here which in close proximity from the beach. The hotel has a lavish interior with all modern amenities, a bar, discotheque, multi-cuisine restaurant, swimming pool, health club, business facilities and banquet halls.
Diu being in the west of India has an average temperature throughout the year and is easily accessible from Maharashtra as well as Gujarat.
The Sasangir Wildlife Sanctuary on the fringes of the Saurashtra Peninsula is home to 300 Asiatic Lions and lies 120 km from Diu.
