Candolim Beach is one of the relatively busy and soft-sandy beaches of Goa. It is situated at the southern end of Calangute beach and has seen an increase in the number of tourists lately.
Numerous tourists along with hawkers and masseurs selling their wares and services make this a lively spot. Plenty of beach shacks can be found on the beach which deals with food, drinks and even sun-beds.
Various forms of water-sport activities are held towards one end of the beach and there is ‘see the dolphin’ boat trips arranged as well. Many tour operators are also located near this spot, making it very busy during the holidays and weekends.
At the other end of the beach, the peninsula diminishes into the sea marking the end of this seven-km long beach. Due to the popularity of this beach, there are number of hotels and resorts which have sprung up in the vicinity.
It gets slightly expensive for backpackers, but those looking for a stay near sea-shore with dining and shopping opportunity would find the rates acceptable
