Surprisingly, Calangute is flooded with shops selling objects which have originated in other Indian states, rather than their own local stuff. The complete city is packed with countless numbers of shops.
Calangute Beach is famous for Kashmiri traders who sell a wide range of Kashmiri things like papier- match boxes, carpets and embroidered fabrics. Tourists can bargain for these items and also get some good deals as well.
Apart from this, visitors can see a number of shops selling Rajasthani and Tibetan handicrafts. Here too, one can get a great deal if one can bargain properly.
The Market Square is a famous shopping area in Calangute. Visitors can buy a wide range of metal works, souvenirs, jewelry, clothes, leather items, gems and wooden stuff here.
Tibetan shops mainly consist of wooden statues of Buddha and other Hindu deities. Besides the Market Square, Calangute features a number of other flea markets.
