Calangute is easily one of Goa’s busiest beaches, especially on the North side. It is the only beach which remains active even during low-tourist season (June to September).
Tito, Plantain Leaf and Fiesta are some of the restaurants near the beach where one can eat delicious sea food delicacies. There are number of sea-side shacks that serve delicious sea-food, but some may find it too spicy. Calangute can be reached by a number of transport options and one can even hire a motorbike to reach here and roam around the beach.
Para-sailing and other water-sport activities are also favored by many tourists here. Beware of the beggars and hustlers who are quite persistent! A simple but firm “no, thank you” should do the trick. As the beach is almost always crowded, you won’t find a silent place to relax. Just try to walk a little further away and there should definitely be a spot where you can make yourself comfortable. Make sure that you don’t wander too far away from the beaten path though!
