The beach originates at the Fort Aguada. Another famous Calangute beach lies at another end of this beach. However, it is much calmer and peaceful than the crowded Calangute beach. The beach is easily accessible from all parts of Goa.
There is a variety of modes of transport available here to roam in and around the town. Roadways and ferries are common transportation mediums.
Besides the enchanting beach, Candolim is dotted with numerous restaurants and shops. These shops mainly sell the local hand crafted objects and fabrics. Candolim is mainly a fishing village.
Tourists may experience the fishing activity with the local fishermen here. If requested and offered a small amount, these fishermen take the tourists on their boats. Candolim houses a 1560 built church.
