Taxis serve as the main means of transportation in and around Goa. The taxi drivers charge a fixed rate only to particular season and the tourists should be able to bargain a reduction from the demanded fare. The pillion-passenger motorcycle taxis are the most convenient for traveling purpose but the fares should be settled in advance.
The rented motorcycles also give a convenient option for the tourists. The rates usually vary according to the season and the total time that one would like to rent the motorcycle. The owners sometimes insist on submitting the passport or a deposit amount as security. There are bus services owned by the state government or private tour operators who charge a considerable fee for the services.
