The Goa State Museum is situated in Panjim, Goa worth visiting for its displays. There are 8,000 artifacts on display for all, and includes wooden objects, stone sculptures, paintings, carvings, manuscripts, bronzes, anthropological objects, rare coins and numismatic collections. This museum is popular for its vast collection of Jain and Hindu artifacts and scriptures. The museum modern complex is home to 12 galleries. Of many exhibits and displays, the most remarkable ones are the clay models showing different professions.
There are guided tours provided to all here by the staff of the museum. Relevant details and references are offered to the visitors. What’s more, photographs of the exhibits are offered to the students and scholars for their academic purposes. There is an audio visual unit here, where one can view the screening of the archeological and historical documentaries, organized for school students, by prior appointment.
