It is also worth of an experience to visit shops in the upcoming and traditional markets of the towns and villages in Goa. The markets give a glimpse of the ethnic Goan culture. Mapusa and Anjuna are the two famous market areas. The Friday Market at Mapusa has stalls that sell curios, old, coins, dried fish and different spices while the Wednesday market at Anjuna Beach offers a lively place to shop for souvenirs, trinkets, beachwear and handicrafts.
