Goa is an ideal place for vacationing throughout the year. A worthwhile time to visit Goa is the winter season, from November to March, the peak tourist season of this state. The climate at this time is at its best, pleasant and fantastic for life on the beaches. The month of February is usually crowded as this is the precise time for celebrating the Goa Carnival Festival other than Christmas and New Year, both in the month of December. So, prior to visiting at this time, one needs to plan early and block or book the dates. Some visit this place from October to March as this is pleasant time. Summers are a good time for a budget holidaying, with a laid back lazy environment in Goa. One can visit at this time to avoid the crowds and also expect off season discounts offered by the hotels. Other than the beaches, wildlife sanctuaries and spice plantations offer a great deal of entertainment for a tourist and his family. June is the month of Monsoon and also a relief from the hot dry months of early summer season. This is also the best time to enjoy the greenery, discovering the overflowing rivers, hills and vast expanses of fields, and many other places of interest. This is also the best time for a quiet rural vacation in the interiors.
