The tour of Ahmedabad cannot be completed without a visit to the Sabarmati Ashram, the residence of Mahatma Gandhi. It is built on the western banks of the Sabarmati River. The internationally famous Dandi March was started from this place. Now this place is well preserved and a lot of daily things used by the Mahatma are on display.
This place is also known as Satyagraha Ashram.
