Siddha Shree Dhoramnath Monastery is situated in Than which is about sixty-km NW of Bhuj and borders on Rann or Kachchch. It mainly serves as a mini-study and mediation center for students and pilgrims.
Very few travelers and tourists visit the place. It also provides most basic form of accommodation. Guests are supplied with a simple mat and washroom facility. Dinner is also served, but no breakfast.
Regular pujas are held in the temple and blessings are offered in the inner sanctum of the temple. Some sections of the building date back to the 18th-Century and the place is filled with a serene atmosphere.
There is a temple situated on a hill nearby called Shree Dhoramnath Temple. The climb is only of three-km but due to the rocky terrain it can get fairly tiresome. It is advisable to bring water bottles and sturdy shoes with you. A splendid view of the sunset can be observed from the temple site.
