Citadel of Mahmud Beghada
The Citadel of Mahmud Beghada is in the shape of a perfect rectangle covering an area of three-quarters of a mile with a breadth of 280 yards. There is a wall on the exterior of the citadel that is supported by bastions and built of massive blocks of freestone which is popularly called as Mahmud Beghada’s Wall. The architectural style which has a strong Islamic influence can be noticed in the impressively carved balconies.
Nagina Masjid
The Nagina Masjid has a grandiose gateway and is constructed of pure white stone. There is a nicely proportioned arcade that has a central dome supported by four columns on every side of the square. This mosque has a large number of devotees visiting it from all over the world.
Juma Masjid
The Juma Masjid is a respectable place for the Muslims that reside in this area. This mosque has 172 pillars and minarets that have a height of 100 feet. The highlight of this edifice are the three tiers of columns that rise one above another and support the central dome while having nicely carved balconies amidst the tiers. The mosque also has five gates that are very impressive due to the architectural beauty.
