The Akshardham Temple is surely the top tourist spot in Gandhinagar.

The Swaminarayan sect is the richest sect in the world; it hosts the Akshardham temple in fact. It is the famous temple that houses remnants of the leaders of this sect. Made up of pink stones, it has wonderful fountains and lush green gardens around.

It has beautiful stone carvings.

The Capital Complex is situated in sector 10 of Gandhinagar. It houses government offices.

The complex includes Vithalbhai Patel Bhavan which has the Vidhan Sabha, Narmada Bhavan which houses the heads of departments, and the Sardar Bhavan which houses various sections of the State Secretariat.

The Children’s Park in Gandhinagar city is a fun place for children for holidays. It is located in sector 28. A mini train runs through the park and also one can have the pleasure of boating in a beautiful lake.

The Pethapur Village, located 7kilometres from the Gandhinagar City, houses the craftsmen who work with carved wooden blocks for printing motifs on cloth.
