Dumas
Dumas are situated 16 kilometers from Surat and are a reputed health resort. Tourists book rooms in the cottages in Dumas. Bardoli
Bardoli is not only a tourist spot but also has historical significance. It is situated at a distance of 34 kilometers from Surat. Mr.M.K.Gandhi, the father of the nation, had launched a protest movement against the British policies from this place which is called as Bardoli Satyagraha. In memory of this movement, a ‘Swaraj Ashram’ has been built here.
Bulsar
Bulsar is located very close to Surat and is reputed for a national park called as ‘Vansda National Park.’ Here, wild boars, tigers, panthers and leopards are found as well as there are jeep safaris to move around in the park.
Udvada
Udvada is regarded as a very sacred place for the Parsis as it is conceived that the holy fire of the Parsi community that has been brought from the holy land of Persia is kept here. The Parsis also regard that this is one of the oldest fires to be brought from Persia.
