The Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum is probably the main attraction in Vadodara. It situated in the Lakshmi Vilas Palace in the city. Many works that belonged to the Royal family are exhibited in this museum.
Aurobindo Ashram is located at Dandia bazaa. Here, there is a library, study room and sales emporium. Open for public, people visit this place for meditation.. There are relics of Shri Aurobindo.
The Nazarbaug Palace is another name for the Gaekwad Royal Palace. It was constructed in 1721. Here, one can see solid silver and gold guns, each weighing more than 100 kg. There is also a Sheesh Mahal or a Glass Palace.
The Baroda Museum and Picture Gallery was constructed in 1894. Many paintings rather term them as masterpieces are exhibited in the picture gallery. The skeleton of a blue whale and the Egyptian mummy are the prime attractions of this museum.
