There are not many places to actually pay a visit to but there are some other factors that draw people in large numbers from far and wide to Hissar. CCSHAU and GJU are two universities that draw a lot of students from all over the country. These buildings are well built and worth a visit once. Hissar is also known as the Steel City. There are many steel producing plants which can prove beneficial for educational trips. There is a ‘Hanuman Temple’ which attracts devotees from the entire surrounding district. There is a park called the ‘Deer Park’ found at Dhansu road and is mostly visited by kids. There are the remains of the ancient ‘Agroha Town’ nearby and are often visited by archeologists. Then there is the ‘Gujri Mahal’ which was built by Firoz Shah Tughlaq for his wife, whose name he gave to the monument. This city can also boast about the largest galvanized pipe manufacturing plant in the world. Now that’s something which nobody would like to miss.
