Tsuglag Khang Complex is situated in the McLeod Ganj, amongst the mountains ranges of Dhauladhar, surrounded by lush pine-forests. It is the central point for the Tibetan government which is currently in-exile.

The complex contains the residence of His Holiness, Dalai Lama, several Buddhist temples, a monastery, a Tibetan museum, prayer wheels, a café and a bookshop.

The tourists are free to wander anywhere they want, except for the residential area of the monks. Being a spiritual retreat for Dalai Lama, the atmosphere is thick with serenity and tranquility.

One of the main attractions of the place is a 3 meter high gilded-bronze Sakyamuni Buddha image. Besides that, there are magnificent images of Padmasambhava and Avalokitesvara.
