The Dal Lake is only ten kilometers from Dharamsala. Here, one can see an overabundance of Fir and Deodar trees.

From Dharamsala, the Jwalamukhi Temple is a two hour journey. This temple is dedicated to the Goddess of Light.

The McLeod Ganj or the Upper Dharamsala is also called as the little Lhasa. This little township has a number of monastries and Buddha statues.
