Srinagar Nightlife

Srinagar, the capital of Kashmir state, is not very known for its nightlife. In fact, this place is gradually developing a nightlife which is not similar to that in cities around the world or around India, but that which would permit the youngsters some amount of entertainment.

The youngsters at this place now have pool halls, fast-food joints and cafes to hang around in the evenings.

The Café Robusta and Coffea Arabica are getting good business, in spite of their over priced menus.

In Coffea Arabica, there is western pop music and Hollywood movies are played.

Boulevard Road is filled with activity late into the night. Localites and tourists can be found taking leisurely walks or having some street food or just watching the calm lake in the night.

All these activities are carried out in the presence of Indian security forces who guard the roads.

However, the presence of civilians on the streets long after sunset is a very crucial modification in Kashmir in the recent years.
