While traveling to Srinagar the first thing that comes to mind is the cold weather. At any time of the year it would be advisable to carry woolen clothes, jackets, scarves, woolen socks and gloves to be comfortable in this beautiful city.
If one would like to go for hiking then a pair of comfortable shoes and trousers is a must. This attire would also help while horse riding or sledging in the snow.
A camera is a must to take especially to capture the scenic surroundings of the Dal Lake and the hilly snow clad mountain ranges.
Last but not the least; remember to carry all your valid documents like passport, visa, insurance papers and cash or credit cards.
A separate bag for toiletries could include a toothbrush, nail cutter, shaving kit, comb, tissues, shampoo, soap and more.
Carrying your own set of medicines always helps just in case something is not available locally.
