Buses in Bangalore offer quite cheap and frequent services. The route numbers are displayed in English whereas the destinations are written in local language. The buses are generally crowded and are less frequent after 10.00pm. The daily bus costs around Rs. 30 and comes handy if the visitors are planning to travel on several buses in single day.
The Auto-rickshaw is supposed to charge the money as per the meter readings. For the first 2 kilometers, the drivers charge a fare of Rs 12 and Rs 6 for additional kilometer thereafter. The taxis in Bangalore are very convenient and comfortable. They charge Rs 35 for the first 4 kilometers and Rs 9 for every kilometer thereafter. Hiring a private auto/taxi is also a good option for many tourists. The charges are around Rs 50 - Rs 100 per hour for an auto and Rs 150 - Rs 250 per hour for a taxi.
