Kadri Temple
The Kadri Temple is a square temple located at the foot of a hill which along with nine tanks was constructed in 1068 A.D. This temple houses the Lokeshwara bronze idol which is considered as one of the finest bronze statue in India.
Above the hill, one can see the ‘Jogimutt’ that has been constructed by King Kundavarma as well as some stone caves that are known to be the caves of the Pandavas.
Kudroli Gokarnath Temple
The Kudroli Gokarnath Temple is located about 3 kilometers away from the main city region and has recently been renovated to become a major tourist attraction in the city.
Shri Sharavu Mahaganapathi Temple
The Shri Sharavu Mahaganapathi temple has many holy temples like Kudroli, Mangaladevi, Kadri and Sharavu. Of these the Sri Sharavu Sharabeshwara – Sri Mahaganapathi Kshetra has a long illustrious history of 800 years.
St. Aloysius Church
The St. Aloysius Church which is 1 kilometer away from the main center in the city has the walls of the monument filled with the paintings of Antony Moshaini an Italian artist. This church was constructed in 1899-1900.
St. Aloysius College Chapel which can be compared with the Sistine chapel in Rome has a specialty that the interior roof and walls are covered with a wonderful sequence of paintings.
