As one of the most tourist and famous states of the entire India, Kerala offers many interesting locations and attractions that absolutely represent a must-see. Cochin (Kochi) is one of Indian main harbour city, known as a spice city. Due to its multi-cultural heritage, Jewish, Portuguese, Dutch and British, it offers many tourist attractions such as Jewish synagogue in Jew town, Dutch Palace, Chinese nets, Christian cathedral (where Vasco da Gamma was originally buried). Munnar is a mountain resort located 1,600 meters above sees level, former summer getaway for British in the South India. It is famous for tea plantations, scenic views and trekking paths. Thekkady is a famous wildlife centre and hill station in Kerala situated next to the Periyar National Park and Lake, where you can see in their natural environment, tigers, elephants and monkeys. It is famous for its spices such as black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon and clove. House Boat Trip at Backwaters : enjoy an overnight trip on board of a traditional Kerala house boat cruising through backwaters. You can admire scenic views, spice plantations, local village life and try local food prepared on board of your boat. Most of trips start in Alleppey.
