Just pack the bare essentials! Most of the hotels and other accommodations options are not exactly very close by to the bus/taxi stop or beach and even the relatively light baggage can feel heavy when you are walking in sun.
Do not get mislead by sun-breezes and do carry proper sun-lotions, sunglasses and loose clothes (preferably cotton).
Sandals or chappals can be brought from the local shops at cheap rates. A sensible attire is expected when you swim so don’t forget to pack extra towels, bikinis and short vests.
To deal with frequent power-cuts, it is best to carry torch/batteries.
If you are especially keen on hygiene and cleanliness, it is advisable to carry antiseptic hand-wash liquid as some hotels may not have soap and paper towels.
If you plan to visit Goa during the monsoons, be sure to carry umbrellas and a plastic bag for carrying your camera.
