Day 1: Arrival Kochi
From
Kochi Airport we meet and transfer you to
Fort Cochin hotel for staying two nights. In the evening one can stroll around near the Chinese Fishing Net area & have a taste of the freshly made dishes of your choice out of fishes caught by the Chinese nets.
Day 2: KochiThis day after breakfast we go for a guided half day sightseeing of Fort Kochi Area. The colonial influence of
Kochi becomes evident when we visit the
Jewish Synagogue, housing the Grand Scrolls of the Old Testament. We also visit the tomb of
Vasco da Gama, the voyager who "rediscovered" India. In the evening we attend a
Kathakali performance a
traditional dance of Kerala or
Kalarippayattu, a
traditional martial art of Kerala.
Day 3: Backwaters Our Land After breakfast drive to
Alappey backwaters, in the region called
Kuttanad, called the Rice Bowl of Kerala and is one of the few places in the world where
farming is done below sea level. You will be transferred to
Ourland Backwater Resort by boat for your 01 nights stay.
Day 4: Houseboat
After breakfast, checkout & board Houseboat from the steps of Ourland itself. The day is spent cruising along the backwaters and observing village life along the banks. All meals will be served on board.
Day 5: Vagamon
Drive to
Vagamon. It is a very ideal tourist spot surrounded by the greenery of tea gardens, beautiful meadows, deep puzzling valleys. Situated at an elevation of
1100 m above sea level, Vagamon, is a trekker's paradise… Checkin at Vanilla County, a family home stay, where in you will be accommodated with the family.
Day 6-7: Vagamon
Two days of totally relax at Vanilla County... Durning these days you can be engaged with different activities in & around Vanilla County. Our Driver/Representative will be with you for your help.
Day 8: Kottayam - Train to Trivandrum – Kovalam
After breakfast, check out & drive to Kottayam for train to Thiruvananthapuram. On Arrival you will be transfered to Kovalam for your beach holidays.
