There are no specific warnings or tourists traps in Bhopal, about which tourists need to take special care. However, some of the things in the city may be troublesome to the tourists who are new to this city.
The road conditions are bad in most of the parts of Bhopal. The situation gets even worse during the rainy season. Hence, tourists must avoid making a road trips in the rainy season using ones own vehicle.
Local transport or rented gypsies are the best options. Moreover, the local drivers know about the city, hence, there are no chances of tourists getting lost.
Always drink packaged water. Bhopal witnessed a harmful gas leakage tragedy in 1984. It's been quite a long time; however, the water bodies in the city still contain some contents of this hazardous gas.
Hence, one must take complete care not to consume unpacked water anywhere. Apart from this, always try to hire cars and other vehicles from reputed travel companies.
