Attractions and Places to visit Khajuraho

The Kandariya Mahadeva temple is of immense religious importance and ranks to be one of the largest Hindu temple throughout the medieval period.

It is one of the most ancient monuments which is undamaged till date. Today Khajuraho attracts a large number of tourists from all over the world.

The temple of Hemavati was build after a young woman named Hemavati after whom the Khajuraho temples have been constructed. The temple is a must see for every visitor because of its marvelous carvings and sculptures inside the temple.

The Kalinjar fort houses a range of beautiful monuments and sculptures. Due to its unique architectural design the fort had no other fort as beautiful as the Kalinjar fort.

The Kalinjar fort is elevated at a height 1000 feet. The fort also has seven huge gates or the Darwaza as called in Hindi.
