Tourist Guide Ujjain
Ujjain formerly known as Ujjayini is an ancient city of Malwa in Madhya Pradesh state that is located on the eastern bank of the Kshipra River.
The average height of this place is 491 meters. The soil is stony and black and thorny trees like acacia and babul dominate the region while the main crops grown are bajra, jowar, wheat and soyabean.
As per the census of 2001, the population of Ujjain was 0.429 million.
During summer, the temperature may reach 45 degrees Celsius and during the afternoon hot winds worsen the heat. During winter, the temperature varies from 3 to 20 degrees Celsius and from late June to September there is moderate to heavy rain.
