Paratwada is a modern city and neighborhood of Achalpur. The Paratwada Municipal Council was established in 1893 and at present, both Achalpur and Paratwada Municipal Councils are amalgamated. During the British rule, a military camp was established on the outskirts of Paratwada. There are seven quarters in this city and two temples too frequently visited by the locals and tourists.
