Karla Caves
Karla Caves can be stated as an instance of ‘Indian rock-cut architecture’. They were built around 3rd-2nd century BC by various Buddhist monks. These caves are located in Karli, which is very much near to Lonavala. The placement of Karli goes on to divide South India and North India. However, Karla Caves are known more because of the existence of temple of ‘Akvira Devi’ within. This Goddess is worshipped by fishermen.
Bushy Dam
Bushy Dam can be referred to as one of the tourist destinations, locate at a distance of around six Kilometers from Lonavala. At the time of monsoons, water that runs over steps of this dam goes on to create an exciting waterfall. These posh green hills thus add to charm of surroundings. It should be noted that swimming is prohibited over here.
