Pratapgad Fort
This well-known fort was constructed by the vigorous Maratha warrior ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’ in 1656 for executing control on kings of Javali basin (situated nearby). This fort is also the center of historic battle which had taken place between Afzal Khan and Shivaji. The former one was ruler of Bijapur Sultanate.
