Chor Bazaar when translated means “thieves market.” It is situated on Mutton Street, between Maulana Shaukat Ali Road and S V Patel Road in Mumbai.

This market is open from Saturday to Thursday from 11 am to 7 pm. It is the right place for those who are in search of antiquities.

Here, one can find rocking chairs, coffee tables, dowry chests, paintings, old maps, gramophones, clocks, glass lamps, handicrafts, ceramics, brassware and a number of other items that can be bought under the Sun.

One must be prepared to rummage around and make a genuine bargain. Those who are not interested in buying anything may aim for a casual walk. The walk to the Chor Bazaar takes a person to Gol Deoul or the circular Shiva temple.

There is also a Null Bazaar where fish, meat, vegetables and fruits can be bought.
