The Deccan Odyssey is a royal luxury train in India. By traveling through this train, one can view the cultural riches of the Deccan in India.

This is an eight day journey starting on Wednesday and ending on the next Wednesday. On the first day, the visitors can embark on the journey at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai.

On the second day, one views the Jaigarh fort and has lunch on the beautiful sandy beach at Ganapatipule. There is also a tour to the historic Ratnagiri fort. On the third day, one views the Sindhudurg Fort, relishes Konkani cuisine at Tarkali Beach and shops at the crafts village at Sawantwadi.

Day Four is spent in Goa and Day Five in Pune. On Day Six, one travels to Aurangabad and Daulatabad. It is possible to see Ellora, Shivaji Museum, Aurangabad Caves and Bibi ka Maqbara. Day Seven is for a visit to Ajanta Caves, Nasik and the Gangapur Dam.

On Day Eight, one returns to Mumbai. The Deccan Odyssey has an online booking system, where the tourist has to enter some information and then, the fare calculation is displayed to the tourist.

The Lean Season for this journey is in September and April, while the peak season is from October to March. For the Deluxe cabin, the single occupancy is 415 USD, double occupancy is 320 USD and triple occupancy is 260 USD.

For the Presidential suite, single occupancy is 750 USD, double occupancy is 550 USD and Extra occupancy is 240 USD.
