The Kamala Nehru Park in Mumbai is located on the top of Malabar Hill and is spread over an area of 3300 square meters. It is an excellent entertainment spot in the city and is very popular amongst the kids.
This park is named after Kamala Nehru the wife of Jawaharlal Nehru the first Prime Minister of India. As it is situated on a hill the park is cool and less humid when compared to the rest of Mumbai.
This park has a curious structure that resembles a shoe and it is believed that it has been inspired by a nursery rhyme “There was an old woman.” There is greenery all around the park and the garden is well-maintained and manicured.
The park is open from 5 am to 9 pm and offers comprehensive views of the city particularly the Marine Drive which looks similar to a sparkling Queen’s necklace and the Chowpatty Beach.
