Forts near pune in Pune

Pune has a wealth of forts which are nearby and were built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the seventeenth century. Some of them include the Singhgad Fort, Lohgad, Purandar, Shivneri, Pratapgad, Torna, Rajgad and many more forts.  Rajgad fort is known as one of the grandest forts of the Sahayadris and was Shivaji Maharaj’s capital too. Torna fort is also a must visit for its trekking and such adventures.
