Jongohetpara is a small town found in the southern side of the state of Meghalaya in eastern India. It is built around a tributary of the River Tlwang which covers a large part of eastern India. Its climate is favorable, but can be harsh at times. The rainfall that is received here is among the highest received in the entire country. It is a town based in the beautiful valleys and the mountainous regions of east India. Jongohetpara is situated between the famous Garo Hills ranges which are based in the Tura area. It is also one of the most densely populated towns in the region of Garo Hills. The people here have traditions and customs that are difficult to find in the rest of the reason. There is a majority of Buddhism followers in this town. There are a lot of migrates into Jongohetpara from the neighboring countries like Nepal and Bangladesh because this town has many resource and lifestyle options.
