Tourist Guide Ringkhap songmong
Ringkhap Songmong is a moderately populated locality that is situated in the W. Garo Hills (Tura), Meghalaya which is a state in India. It is located at a latitude of 25.3 degrees and at a longitude of 90.4 degrees. It is surrounded on the eastern side by Baghamara, on the western side by Kherapara, on the northern side by Thongbolgiri and in the south by Gasuapara. The population has been approximated 6420 as it is not a census locality due to its smallness. Area is supposed to be around 25 square kilometers. The maximum population over here practices Buddhism because of the migration of Lord Buddha from here in the ancient days. There are about 2 to 3 schools here for children. The climate here is pleasant because of its location way above the equator. It receives moderate to heavy rainfall around 800 cm during the rainy season. The region is often affected by floods because of the heavy rainfall here.
