The scenic beauty of this town can only be described after watching this town. The town raises a lot of admiration and awe from the tourists due to its wonderful mountainous terrains with a suitable atmosphere. There are particular colors and dressing styles used by the people here, which the tourists can imitate as well as buy to take back with them. The men wear specially made woolen caps which are the basic element of a man’s dress in these parts. There are also small scale industries which produce special and exquisite clothes that have been hand loomed and woven textiles. These are very famous and are worth buying as these pieces and designs are hand created and can be some of the rare pieces in the world. There are regular furniture markets where carpenters showcase their creations. One point worth visiting is the 'Saikuti Hall', which is the biggest hall in the state and is used during cultural festivals. A very unusual museum has also been set up here which helps the local painters to display their work.
