The factor that education is at its highest level here makes this town really proud i.e. the literacy rate here is the highest in the entire country. The villages of Neihloh and Buangpui are at a close radius from the town. The climate is very hot during the summers and comfortable in the winters. There is adequate rainfall. The population here is a bit scanty as compared to the space. Handlooms and self made industries have been greatly flourishing here. The location of this town is a little bit on the outskirts but that doesn’t matter when as locals are contented with their lifestyle and contented with their needs. The state of Mizoram was filled with monarchy some decades ago and Zakuala Sailo was the ruler of this place until the British abolished this law and introduced democracy.
