The area lies on a somewhat hilly surface which gives it an atmosphere similar to that of a hill station. This makes it one of the major attractions. The other areas that gain importance are the Thenzawl village which is situated nearby. It has a magnificent lush green grassy landscape. The greens are completed with a splendid waterfall called by the name of Vantawng Khawhthla which means ‘Heavens Fall’. The cliffs surrounding these waterfalls are beautiful and majestic. The water of this fall is even considered as sacred by some tribes. One of the other places that attract attention is the ‘Chhingpuii Thlan’ which means ‘Tomb of the Unmarried souls’. It is a stone monument created in the memory of NL Chhingpuii and is described as a symbol of love. Serchhip Vengchung had created a stone monument in the name of Zoluti which is also a magnificent structure and is often mentioned in the books of authors and writers. This place is known as ‘Zoluti Hriatrengna Lung’ which means a memory stone.

The Sabarmati Ashram was the dwelling of the great Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. It is situated close to Vadaj.
