The National Gandhi Museum has an outstanding collection of art pieces, exhibitions, audio-video materials, photographs, journals and documents, books, relics as well as other memorable items related to the life of Mahatma Gandhi.
The main sections of the museum are as follows – Photo section, Library and Publications section, Galleries and other displays for visitors, Administration, Special Exhibitions, Gandhi Literature center and Audio-Visual section.
The galleries and displays and Gandhi Literature Center are open from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, except Mondays. The library, photo section, Audio visual section and administration is open from 10 am to 5 pm, except Mondays, 2nd Sunday and gazetted holidays.
In this museum, there are special exhibitions from 30th January to 31st March as well as 2nd October to 30th November.
